Choose a wall and add black and pink wallpaper to create maximum impact when you enter the room. You can create a distinctive wall in your entryway, bedroom, living room, or dining room. There are so many possibilities!
If you are a comfortable person, you will probably have no trouble hanging your wallpaper. However, here are some pointers to help you hang wallpaper and create beautiful walls with features.
Tools and Equipment Required
You will need glue, place, measuring tape, cutting knife, steel ruler, brush, soft towels, paint roller, and many more.
Preparation
Your walls should be clean, smooth, and dry. So clean your old wall effectively and get rid of the dust, dirt, and grime. The washing of your walls with sugar soap and one of those big greasy orange or yellow sponges you use to wash your car is a great way to clean them. You need to eliminate any deviations. Apply grease to each hole. Always remove the old wall covering before installing new wallpaper.
Prepare the Glue and Paste
Most glue and paste mixtures take some time to harden before they are applied to the wallpaper. So prepare the mixture in advance to save time. In addition, you need to follow the directions on your package that comes with glue and a stick.
Usually, the paste should be applied to the back of the wallpaper. The glue is applied on the wall at the border around the point where the edge of the wallpaper will be applied.
Measure and Cut the Wallpaper
This is the toughest step when you have a pattern that needs to be repeated and adjusted. Always make sure you should have enough wallpaper to make an accidental mistake.
You need to measure the height of your wall adequately. Leave an additional 5 cm for trimming purposes. Unroll the wallpaper and mark where you need to cut it. Cut the paper carefully with a square knife or a steel ruler, or a large spirit level. You can roll up more wallpapers and customize the pattern.
Cut the wallpaper and discard the unmatched part. You need to continue measuring, adjusting, and cutting the wallpaper until you have all the pieces to complete your wall. Mark the dots vertically on your wall so that you can check that they are in a straight line when you hang the wallpaper.
Apply Glue
One can use a paint roller to apply the paste to the back of the wallpaper from top to bottom. After applying the paste, fold the wallpaper itself and again until it is only about 30 cm wide. You need to place it in a large plastic trash bag and set it aside for 30 minutes to allow the paste to soak into the wallpaper.
Continue with each strip of wallpaper. An individual needs to fold the wallpaper until it fits in a plastic bag or trash bag. You need to remove the air from the plastic bag and seal tightly to prevent the wallpaper from drying out. It will take some time before you can hang the last piece of tape.
After waiting for the proper time, it takes some minutes your paste to harden, apply glue to the wall in the frame around where the edges of the wallpaper will be. Use the marks created earlier to guide you. Your border should be about 3 to 4 inches wide.
Apply Black and Pink Wallpaper
You can start from the top and usually work from left to right. Do not forget to add an extra 5 cm for trimming on the top side. Use your hands and a soft sponge to smooth the wallpaper on the walls. You can use a soft cloth to remove excess glue from the edges.
